Jonathan R. Marko
"Million Dollar Marko,” is the founder of Marko Law in Detroit, specializing in personal injury, civil rights, and employment law. A Grand Rapids native, Jon developed his love for advocacy early on. After getting kicked out of Catholic Central Highschool by the nuns, Jon still went on to earn his bachelor’s in history at Aquinas College before attending law school at American University in Washington, D.C. There, he sharpened his trial skills and graduated in the top 10% of his class. Jon began his legal career clerking for Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly, later working with some of Michigan’s most prominent trial lawyers like Geoffrey Fieger. Known for his tenacity and dedication to his clients and his willingness to help other lawyers try cases, Jon has built a practice that takes on complex and high-stakes litigation, achieving significant verdicts and settlements. He is widely regarded as a fearless advocate who is unafraid to challenge powerful institutions in defense of his clients' rights. He has tried six jury trials in the last year, winning six and seven figure verdicts in each of them.
